Cardinals Promoting QB Zac Dysert To Active Roster

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Cardinals are promoting QB Zac Dysert to their active roster, which implies thereโ€™s a decent chance Carson Palmer may not be available for Thursdayโ€™s game.

Dysert, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Broncos back in 2013. He was placed on waivers by the Broncos at the start of the 2014 season, but they later added him to their practice squad.

The Bears claimed Dysert off of waivers a few days before the start of the season, but he was among their final roster cuts. After that, Dysert returned to the Texans, but was on and off of their practice squad before later signing on to the Billsโ€™ practice squad.

The Dolphins signed him to a future/reserve contract before later cutting him loose coming out of the preseason. Dysert signed on to the Cardinalsโ€™ practice squad a few days later.

Dysert has yet to appear in a regular season NFL game.
