The Arizona Cardinals announced Friday that they’ve tendered contracts to exclusive rights free agent DL Olsen Pierre, RB Elijhaa Penny, OT John Wetzel and CB C.J. Goodwin.
Wetzel, 26, originally signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College back in 2013. He lasted just a few months in Oakland before catching on with the Cowboys mid-season.
Wetzel went on to spend a few years in Dallas before a brief stint with the Colts. He signed on to the Cardinals’ practice squad during the 2015 season and returned to Arizona the past two years on one-year contracts.
In 2017, Wetzel was active for all 16 games for the Cardinals.
