Cardinals Worked Out 10 Players Including S Shamarko Thomas

The Arizona Cardinals brought in 10 free agents for workouts this week including S Shamarko Thomas., according to Howard Balzer.

The full list of tryouts for the Cardinals includes:

10. S Shamarko Thomas

Thomas, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Steelers back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,613,152 rookie contract with the Steelers and before signing on with the Jets last summer.

Thomas has brief stints with the Jets, Bills and Colts before signing on with the Broncos. Denver waived him coming out of the preseason, but elected to re-sign him a few weeks later.

The Broncos waived him last week and he passed through waivers unclaimed. This is the first reported interest in him since becoming a free agent.

In 2018, Thomas has appeared in six games for the Broncos and recorded seven tackles and no interceptions or pass defenses.
