The San Diego Chargers have announced that WR Eddie Royal. has a bruised lung.

Pro Football Talk reports that initial tests have come back negative regarding WR Eddie Royal.

Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Chargers WR Eddie Royal left the team’s Saturday practice in an ambulance.
The hits keep on coming for the Chargers wide receivers. Royal hit the ground hard flat on his back while trying to make a catch in an 11-on-11 team drill. Afterwards, while waking towards the locker room, Royal stopped and dropped to the ground in need of oxygen tank. Royal ended up being taken away strapped to a gurney in an ambulance.
A scary situation for both Royal and the Chargers, who’s wide receivers keep falling to injuries as Danario Alexander is done for the season and Malcom Floyd who appeared to have suffered serious knee injury, but recent reports appear to be positive regarding Floyd’s knee.
Royal is currently interned at a local hospital, where he will stay for further evaluation.
