Chargers Activate TE Hunter Henry From PUP, Place LB Jatavis Brown On IR

The Los Angeles Chargers announced Monday that they’ve officially activated TE Hunter Henry from the PUP list and placed LB Jatavis Brown on injured reserve.

Henry, 24, is a former second-round pick of the Chargers back in 2016. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $6.38 million contract that included $3.98 million guaranteed and stands to make base salaries of $1.03 million and $1.32 million over the final two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Henry appeared in 14 games for the Chargers and caught 45 passes for 579 yards receiving and four touchdowns. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 3 tight end out of 74 qualifying players.

Brown, 24, is a former fifth-round pick of the Chargers back in 2016. He’ll be entering the final year of his four-year, $2.681 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $720,000 for the 2019 season.

In 2018, Brown appeared in 15 games for the Chargers and recorded 97 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble and five pass defenses.
