Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that free agent G Mattย Slauson has visits scheduled with the Chargers and Bills.
The Bears elected to cutย Slauson loose over the weekend, but it took just a few days for him to set up some visits with NFL teams.
It’s worth mentioning that signing Slauson to a contract wouldn’t factor into a team’s 2017 compensatory picks.
Slauson, 30, was in the third year of his four-year, $12.8 million contractย when he was released in a move thatย freed up $2,570,000 in available cap spaceย for the Bears.
In 2015, Slauson appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 5 center out of 39 qualifying players.
We haveย him featuredย in ourย Best Available Free Agents list.
