According to Ian Rapoport, Chargers LB Denzel Perryman suffered an injury to his LCL and likely needs surgery for a hamstring injury, which means his 2018 season is over.
Rapoport mentions that Perryman will need 3-4 months to recover from the injuries.
You can expect the Chargers to place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.
Perryman, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Chargers back in 2015. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $4.776 million contract and set to make a base salary of $750,000 for the 2018 season.
Perryman will be an unrestricted free agent in 2019.
In 2018, Perryman appeared in nine games for the Chargers and recorded 51 tackles, no sacks, an interception and two pass defenses.
