NFL Network’s Jason LaCanfora reports that sources close to Chargers WR Vincent Jackson are “convinced that he will ultimately be franchised” despite the fact that reports have reportedly the contrary.
The Chargers have been reluctant to commit to the idea as it would cost them $14 million guaranteed to do so.
“Were talking about all the different options we have and Vincent is an important guy for us and we want to have him back,” said Chargers head coach Norv Turner.
Turner also mentioned that the team will be looking for defense and more specifically pass rushers in this years draft.
“Our emphasis is going to be (on) defense and pass rushers,” Turner said. “Getting some guys that can come off the edge would be important for us.”
