San Diego Chargers head coach Norv Turner said he expects running back Ryan Mathews to practice on Wednesday, per Michael Gehlken.
Mathews has been out with a clavicle injury and has missed the first two games of the season, but could make his first appearance of the 2012 season on Sunday against Atlanta.
Jackie Battle and Curtis Brinkley shared carries against Tennessee on Sunday, with Battle scoring two touchdowns. The return of Mathews will be a big boost for San Diego.
