The Los Angeles Chargers are signing veteran DT Sylvester Williams to a contract on Tuesday, according to Aaron Wilson.
Williams worked out for the team earlier in the day and it appears as though he was impressive enough to earn an offer from Los Angeles.
Williams, 30, was taken with the No. 28 overall pick back in the 2013 NFL Draft out of North Carolina. He played out the final year of his rookie contract after the Broncos declined to pick up his fifth-year option in 2017.
From there, Williams signed a three-year, $16.5 million contract with the Titans that included $7.25 million guaranteed. However, he was released the following year.
After brief stints with the Lions and Dolphins, Williams signed on with the Saints this past May, but wound up being among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.
In 2018, Williams appeared in 14 games for the Lions and Dolphins and recorded 14 tackles and no sacks.
