Tom Kleine, the agent for LB Kavell Conner, tells Aaron Wilson that his client has agreed to terms with the Chargers on a three-year contract.
- Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reported that the two sides were “very close” to an agreement.
Conner, 27, is another former Colt to sign on with the Chargers as GM Tom Telesco appears to be focused on grabbing player’s he is familiar with from his time in Indianapolis.
Last year, Conner appeared in 10 games for the Colts and totaled 21 tackles and a fumble recovery.
San Diego was reportedly looking for more depth at inside linebacker, so he should be able to secure a spot behind Donald Butler and Manti Te’o next season.
