Ian Rapoport reports that the Chargers are waiving veteran OTย Joe Barksdale on Monday.
Barksdale said goodbye to Chargers’ fans on his Twitter account Monday.
I just want to take a moment to say thank you to the Chargers organization and all of the true die hard Charger Fans. Since 2015 this team has been my home and my teammates my family. I will truly miss everyone, but look forward to what the future has in store for me.

Barksdale, 29, is a former third-round pick of the Raiders back in 2011.ย After a few years in Oakland, he was waived at during the 2012 season and later claimed off of waivers by the Rams.
Barksdale spent three years with the Rams before signing a one-year deal with the Chargers in 2015.ย He is in the third year of his four-year, $22.2 million contract that included $10.5 million guaranteed and set to make a base salary of $4.5 million for the 2018 season.
In 2018, Barksdale has appeared in six games for the Chargers.
