Nick Wright of 610 Houston reports that a “more than reliable source” has informed him that Chiefs have already notified GM Scott Pioli and head coach Romeo Crennel that they will be fired at the end of the season.
Wright previously worked as radio host in Kansas City, so he does have ties to the Chiefs organization, but Pro Football Talk reports that neither of them have been informed that their time in Kansas City is coming to an end.
If this indeed ends up being the case, it would hardly come as much of a surprise given that franchise is in terrible shape. Sweepings changes should be expected for the Chiefs’ roster in the coming months, but it will be interesting to see what GM candidates they bring in.
