Chiefs Sign Sixth-Round DB Tremon Smith

The Kansas City Chiefs officially signed sixth-round DB Tremon Smith to a four-year contract on Monday.

This is the first Chiefs’ draft pick to sign his rookie contract.

Smith, 21, was selected with the No. 196 overall pick in the sixth round by the Chiefs. According to OverTheCap.com, he receives a four-year, $2,613,804 contract that includes a $153,804 signing bonus.

During his college career at Central Arkansas, Smith recorded 146 tackles, 9 tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles, a recovery, one sack, and 15 interceptions.
