The Kansas City Chiefs officially waived DB Jalin Burrell with a non-football illness designation on Wednesday.
Burrell wound up going undrafted out of New Mexico back in April. He later agreed to a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Chiefs soon after.
During his two years at New Mexico, Burrell recorded 105 tackles, an interception, a fumble recovery, a defensive touchdown and 16 pass defenses over the course of 24 games.
