The Kansas City Chiefs officially placed WR Gehrig Dieter on waivers Tuesday.
Dieter, 26, wound up signing on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama back in 2017. He was waived coming out of the preseason and spent the year on the Chiefs’ practice squad.
Kansas City brought Dieter back on a futures contract last year only to cut him coming out of the preseason. He was added to their practice squad before eventually being called up late last season.
The Chiefs waived Dieter from injured reserve with a settlement and he’s been on and off of their roster this year.
In 2019, Dieter has appeared in two games for the Chiefs, but has yet to catch a pass this season.
