According to Tom Pelissero, Colts CB Kenny Moore has a broken thumb but is still expected to be back for Week 1.
Moore signed a four-year, $36 million extension this year after proving himself as one of the NFL’s better slot corners in 2018, so keeping him on the field will be big for Indianapolis.
Moore, 24, wound up signing on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Valdosta State back in 2017. He signed a three-year, $1.66 million contract but was waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Colts.
Moore re-signed with the Colts on a four-year, $36 million extension in 2018. He’s set to make base salaries of $1 million and $5.75 million over the next two years of the agreement.
In 2018, Moore appeared in 15 games for the Colts and recorded 76 tackles, 1.5 sacks, three interceptions, a forced fumble and 11 pass defenses.
