According to Howard Balzer, the Indianapolis Colts brought in five free agents for workouts/visits on Monday including former Bengals DB Josh Shaw.
The full list of tryouts for the Bengals includes:
- CB Johnathan Alston
- CB De’Vante Bausby
- CB Jackson Porter
- S Kurtis Drummond
- CB Josh Shaw (Visit)
Shaw, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bengals back in 2015. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2.773 million contract and set to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.
The Bengals waived him with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and he later reverted to the team’s injured reserve list. Cincinnati elected to cut Shaw loose soon after.
In 2017, Shaw appeared in all 16 games for the Bengals and recorded 36 tackles, no sacks or interceptions and three pass defenses.
