Colts Sign 10 Players To Future/Reserve Deals Including Jeff Demps

The Indianapolis Colts have signed 10 players including RB Jeff Demps to a future/reserve contracts on Monday, according to the NFL transactions release.

The other players who signed futures contracts with the Colts include:

  • WR Kadron Boone
  • DE Gannon Conway
  • LB Carlos Fields
  • DB Winston Guy
  • T Tyler Hoover
  • WR Ryan Lankford
  • WR Josh Lenz
  • DT Kelcy Quarles
  • TE Erik Swoope

Demps, 25, originally signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Florida back in 2012. He was later traded to the Buccaneers in a deal that sent RB LeGarrette Blount to the Patriots in return for Demps and a 2013 seventh-round pick.

Unfortunately for Demps, he was unable to make the Buccaneers’ final 53-man roster before the start of the 2014 season and was later placed on waivers.

The Colts signed him to a contract back in October, but he wound up on the team’s practice towards the end of November.

He has yet to appear in a game this season, but he’ll get another opportunity to compete for a roster spot during training camp this summer.
