Colts Worked Out 6 Players Including RBs Daryl Richardson & Daniel Thomas

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Colts worked out six players including CB Jalil BrownWR DeAndre Carter, DT Ricky Lumpkin, RB LaDarius Perkins, RB Daniel Thomas and RB Daryl Richardson.

Richardson, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Rams back in 2012. He spent two years in St. Louis before he was waived and later claimed by the Jets, but was unfortunately among the team’s early roster cuts.

The Texans signed Richardson in September and was on and off of their practice squad for most of the year before being waived.

Richardson hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2013 season when he ran for 215 yards on 69 carries (3.1 YPC) to go along with 14 receptions for 121 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

Thomas, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2011. He was never able to live up to expectations in Miami and after playing our his rookie contract, Thomas returned to the Dolphins on a one-year deal last year.

The Bears signed him to a one-year deal this past June, but he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts.

In 2014, Thomas appeared in 12 games and ran for 168 yards on 44 carries (3.8 YPC) to go along with 13 receptions for 121 yards receiving and two total touchdowns.
