Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Cowboys TEs coach Doug Nussmeier is expected to be among the potential candidates to replace OC Scott Linehan, who was fired on Friday.
Rapoport adds that University of Georgia OC James Coley will also receive some consideration for the job.
Nussmeier, 48, began his coaching career in the CFL back in 2001 as the QBs coach for the BC Lions. From there, he had stints at Michigan State, Fresno State, Washington, Alabama, Michigan and Florida before being hired as the TEs coach for the Cowboys for the 2018 season.
We’ll have more regarding the Cowboys’ offensive coordinator search as the news is available.
