According to Tom Pelissero, the Cowboys are promoting DT Justin Hamilton to the active roster ahead of Monday night’s matchup against the Cardinals.
Hamilton will provide more depth on the interior defensive line, which is a weak spot for Dallas.
Hamilton, 27, originally signed on with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana back in 2015. He was among their final roster cuts that preseason and quickly signed with the Packers’ practice squad.
Hamilton bounced on and off the Seahawks’ and Eagles’ practice squads until signing with the Chiefs in December of 2017. He was among Kansas City’s final roster cuts last preseason and caught on with the Cowboys briefly in October.
Hamilton signed a futures deal with the Cowboys for the 2020 season and landed on the practice squad after being cut coming out of camp.
For his career, Hamilton has appeared in eight games and recorded three total tackles and 0.5 of a sack.
