Michael Gehlken reports that the Cowboys are releasing DT Justin Hamilton from their active roster.
Dallas just acquired veteran DT Michael Bennett from the Patriots, so they clearly felt comfortable with their defensive line.
Hamilton, 26, originally signed on with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana back in 2015. He was among their final roster cuts that preseason and quickly signed with the Packers’ practice squad.
Hamilton bounced on and off the Seahawks’ and Eagles’ practice squads until signing with the Chiefs in December of 2017. He was among Kansas City’s final roster cuts this preseason and caught on with the Cowboys two weeks ago.
For his career, Hamilton has appeared in eight games and recorded three total tackles and 0.5 of a sack.
