The Dallas Cowboys announced that they’ve signed OL Xavier Su’a-Filo to a contract and waived OL Kadeem Edwards.
Su’a-Filo, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Texans back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $5,551,601 contract with the Texans before agreeing to a contract with the Titans back in March.
Unfortunately, Su’a-Filo wound up being among the Titans’ roster cuts coming out of the preseason.
In 2017, Su’a-Filo appeared in all 16 games for the Texans and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 75 guard out of 77 qualifying players.
Edwards, 27, is a former fifth-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2014. He lasted just a few months in Tampa Bay before he was waived with an injury settlement a few weeks into his rookie season.
Edwards had a brief stint with the Jaguars before signing on to the Cowboys’ practice squad during the 2016 season. Dallas waived Edwards as they cut their roster down to 53 players before re-signing him last week.
Edwards has yet to appear in an NFL game.
