Cowboys Sign S Darian Thompson Off Cardinals’ PS, Waive S Ibraheim Campbell

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Cowboys are signing S Darian Thompson off of the Cardinals’ practice squad on Tuesday.

• Todd Archer reports that the Cowboys also waived S Ibraheim Campbell.

Thompson, 24, is a former third-round pick of the Giants back in 2016. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $3.45 million contract and set to make base salaries of $705,000 and $805,000 over the final two years of the agreement.

The Giants waived Thompson with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and he later reverted to their injured reserve list. New York waived him with an injury settlement soon after.

Thompson signed on to the Cardinals’ practice squad last week.

In 2017, Thompson appeared in all 16 games for the Giants and recorded 75 tackles, one interception and six pass defenses.
