The Dallas Cowboys officially tendered a contract to restricted free agent QB Cooper Rush on Thursday.
The original-round tender will cost them $2.14 million for the 2020 season and give them the opportunity to match any offer he receives from another team.
Rush, 26, went undrafted out of Central Michigan back in 2017. He later signed a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Cowboys and managed to make the 53-man roster in all three seasons in Dallas.
Rush will be an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career in 2021.
For his career, Rush has appeared in five games for the Cowboys, completing one of three pass attempts for two yards. He has also rushed for 13 yards.
