According to Todd Archer, the Cowboys have placed LB Justin Durant on waivers and are promoting LB Tre’von Johnson to their active roster.
Durant, 32, is a former second-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2007. He spent four years in Jacksonville before signing on with the Lions in 2011. Durant later played two years for the Cowboys before signing three-year, $10.8 million contract with the Falcons.
Atlanta elected to cut Durant loose back in February of last year and he eventually signed a one-year contract with the Cowboys. Dallas just re-signed him to a one-year, $1 million this past July.
In 2017, Durant has appeared in seven games and recorded 13 tackles and no sacks for the Cowboys.
