Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports that the Miami Dolphins brought RB Tiki Barber in yesterday for a workout.
Glazer’s source said that Barber looked good overall but the Dolphins didn’t offer him a contract.
In some ways Barber could make sense as No. 3 back for the Dolphins. Miami will be using rookie RB Daniel Thomas a lot and newly acquired Reggie Bush figures to be part of the teams passing game so Barber could relieve either player for a few players here and there.
Before free agency started, Barber’s agent said that he drawn interest from a number of teams but the market for veteran running backs has been terrible this year. At 36, there are plenty of concerns in regards to Barber and his ability. It’ll be interesting to see who if anyone takes a chance on him.
