Dolphins Claim CB Xavier Crawford Off Waivers From Texans

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Dolphins have claimed CB Xavier Crawford off of waivers from the Texans on Monday, but the transaction won’t officially be posted until Tuesday, given that Miami plays tonight.

Crawford, 23, was selected in the sixth round of this year’s draft by the Texans. He agreed to a four-year, $2.7 million contract with Houston and managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.

However, Houston waived Crawford last week to make room for CB Cornell Armstrong.

In 2019, Crawford has appeared in four games for the Texans and recorded one tackle and no interceptions.
