Barry Jackson of Theย Miami Heraldย reports that the although the Miami Dolphins have yet to make an offer to free agent DTย Randy Starks, they are still interested inย re-signing at some point.
- According toย Jackson, Miami hasย conveyed that are fine withย Starks reaching the free agent market while keeping them aware of the offers he receives from prospective teams.
- Jackson adds that the Dolphins haven’t ruled out the possibility of extending him an offer in the coming weeks.
Miami still needs to decide what to do with DTย Paul Soliaiย who is reportedly generating some decent interest as well.
Armando Salguero of the Miami Heraldย reported earlier today that five NFL teams have interest inย Soliai with two of them beingย โquite seriousโ about signing him to a long-term contract.
Starks, 30, is in a great position to cash in on the open market one year after he received the Dolphins franchise tag. He’s coming off of a solid season in which he totaledย 49 tackles, four sacks and a forced fumble this season and was rated as the No. 7 defensive tackle in the league, according toย Pro Football Focus.
