The Miami Dolphins and OL coach Chris Foerster announced Monday that he will resign from the team after a video surfaced Sunday night showing him snorting lines of a white substance off his desk at work.
Here are the statements from the Dolphins and Foerster:
โI am resigning from my position with the Miami Dolphins and accept full responsibility for my actions. I want to apologize to the organization and my sole focus is on getting the help that I need with the support of my family and medical professionals.โ
โWe were made aware of the video late last night and have no tolerance for this behavior. After speaking with Chris this morning, he accepted full responsibility and we accepted his resignation effective immediately. Although Chris is no longer with the organization, we will work with him to get the help he needs during this time.โ
Foerster is actually a respected offensive line coach, who drew interest from other teams around the league this offseason, but Miami managed to hold onto him.
However, it was clear that he wasn’t going to be back with the team based on what the video showed.
We’ll have more regarding the Dolphins as the news is available.
