Dolphins Re-Sign DB Doug Middleton To Practice Squad

The Miami Dolphins officially re-signed DB Doug Middleton to their practice squad on Thursday.

Here’s the Dolphins updated practice squad:

  1. QB Jake Rudock
  2. DT Durval Queiroz (International)
  3. LB Terrill Hanks
  4. DB Montre Hartage
  5. TE Chris Myarick
  6. OT Chidi Okeke
  7. WR T.J. Rahming
  8. WR Andy Jones
  9. DT Gerald Willis
  10. DE Frank Herron
  11. DB Doug Middleton

Middleton, 26, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Appalachian State back in 2016. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later signed to the team’s practice squad.

The Jets waived Middleton during the 2017 preseason with an injury designation and he later reverted to their injured reserve list. New York re-signed him to a one-year exclusive rights contract this past March.

The Dolphins later signed Middleton to a contract before recently waiving him.

In 2018, Middleton appeared in seven games and recorded 27 tackles, no interceptions and three pass defenses.
