Dolphins Sign WR Allen Hurns To Two-Year, $8M Extension

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Dolphins have signed WR Allen Hurns to a two-year, $8 million extension that includes $3.27 million guaranteed on Saturday.

There was recently talk that Hurns could be in line for a new deal with the Dolphins and it appears as though the two parties managed to get an agreement in place before the end of the season.

Hurns, 28, signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in 2014. He was in the final year of his rookie contract when the Jaguars signed him to a five-year, $40.6 million deal that included $20 million guaranteed in 2016.

Hurns was set to make base salaries of $6.9 million and $7.9 million over the next two years of the agreement when the Jaguars released him last year. The Cowboys later signed him to two-year, $12 million contract before cutting him loose.

Miami later signed Hurns to a one-year contract worth up to $3 million this past July.

In 2019, Hurns has appeared in eight games for the Dolphins and caught 13 passes for 170 yards receiving and one touchdown.
