According to Barry Jackson, the Dolphins signed former Lions WR Andy Jones to their practice squad on Tuesday.
Miami’s practice squad now consist of:
- DT John Atkins
- WR Tom Kennedy
- LB Steve Longa
- TE Isaac Nauta
- T Matt Nelson
- LB Anthony Pittman
- LB Jason Cabinda
- DE Eric Lee
- DE Jonathan Wynn
- WR Chris Lacy
- WR Andy Jones
Jones, 25, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Jacksonville back in 2016. He spent his rookie season on the Cowboys’ practice squad and returned to Dallas on a futures contract the following year.
The Cowboys waived Jones coming out of the preseason and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Texans. He later joined the Lions before eventually being promoted to their active roster in December of 2017.
Jones was waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason this year and cut with an injury settlement.
In 2018, Jones appeared in eight games for the Lions and caught 11 passes for 80 yards and one touchdown.
