Adam Schefter reports that the Dolphins brought in CB Dexter McDonald for a workout on Tuesday.
McDonald, 27, is a former seventh-round pick by the Raiders in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Kansas. He finished out his four-year rookie contract and was testing the open market for the first time.
He was waived with an injury designation at the end of last year’s preseason and reverted to the injured reserve where he finished out the year.
This is the first reported interest in him since becoming an unrestricted free agent.
In 2017, McDonald appeared in 15 games and recorded 43 total tackles, seven pass defenses, one forced fumble, and no interceptions.
