According to Howard Balzer, the Miami Dolphins brought in three free agent cornerbacks for workouts this week including CB David Amerson, CB Demetri Goodson, and CB Dontae Johnson.
Amerson, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Redskins back in 2013. Washington waived him during the 2015 season and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Redskins.
Amerson signed four-year, $38 million extension with close to $18 million guaranteed with the Raiders back in 2016. However, he was released last year and later caught on with the Chiefs.
Kansas City signed Amerson to a one-year deal worth up to $6 million during the offseason, but wound up being released coming out of the preseason.
He has worked out for a number of teams since becoming a free agent, including the Lions, Cowboys, Bills, Patriots, Packers, and Saints.
In 2017, Amerson appeared in six games for the Raiders and recorded 18 tackles, no interceptions, a fumble recovery and four pass defenses.
