Update:
The Philadelphia Eagles announced that they have placed CB Jalen Mills on injured reserve and promoted DT Bruce Hector from their practice squad in time for Week 14.
Zach Berman, citing a league source, reports that Eagles CB Jalen Mills is not expected to be able to return this season and is likely to be placed on injured reserve.
According to Berman, the Eagles were hoping Mills could return at some point, which explains why the elected to carry him on their active roster. However, his source says thatย itโs not looking like heโll be able to return this season.
Mills has been dealing with a foot injury.
Mills, 24, is a former seventh-round pick of the Eagles back in 2016. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.58 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $720,000 for the 2019 season.
Mills is in line to be an unrestricted free agent in 2020.
In 2018, Mills has appeared in eight games for the Eagles and recorded 42 tackles, no interceptions and nine pass defenses.
