ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Eagles have just announced that they have locked up WR DeSean Jackson to a five-year deal worth $51 million.
Jackson was believed to be eager to sign his franchise tag today but he’s probably feeling much better now that the team has just committed to signing him to a long-term contract.
Just a few weeks ago, it seemed like there was a decent chance that Jackson could be playing elsewhere next season but he’ll be with the Eagles for the coming years now that they’ve committed to him being their deep-threat.
