It’s the latest in a long string of injuries that have derailed Grugier-Hill’s 2019 season. Projected as a starter entering the year, Grugier-Hill sat out the first three games with an MCL sprain and also missed time with a concussion.
Grugier-Hill, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Patriots back in 2016. He lasted just a few months in New England before he was waived and later claimed by the Eagles.
Grugier-Hill currently in the final year of his four-year, $2.61 million contract and set to make a base salary of $720,000 for the 2019 season. He’s in line to be an unrestricted free agent in 2020.
In 2019, Grugier-Hill appeared in 10 games for the Eagles and recorded 23 tackles and one fumble recovery.
