The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Sunday that they’ve placed S Will Parks and WR Quez Watkins on injured reserve ahead of the 2020 NFL season.

It’s worth mentioning that there are new injured reserve rules this year that will allow teams to bring players back after a few weeks.

Parks, 26, is a former sixth-round pick by the Broncos in the 2016 NFL Draft. He finished his four-year rookie contract before signing a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.

In 2019, Parks appeared in 14 games and recorded 32 tackles, one sack, one interception, one forced fumble, and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 77 overall cornerback out of 113 qualifying players.

Watkins, 22, was drafted by the Eagles in the sixth round out of Southern Mississippi. He signed a four-year deal projected to be worth $3,464,664 with a $169,664 signing bonus.

During his three-year college career, Watkins caught 159 passes for 2,404 yards and 17 touchdowns in 34 games.
