Dave Zangaro of CSN Philly reports that the Eagles have re-signed exclusive rights free agent DB Jaylen Watkins.
Watkins receives a one-year contract worth $690,000 from the Eagles.
Watkins, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Eagles back in 2014. He lasted one year in Philadelphia before he was waived at the start of the 2015 season and later signed to the Bills’ practice squad.
However, Watkins returned to the Eagles after they signed him off of the Bills’ taxi squad a few months into the regular season.
In 2016, Watkins appeared in all 16 games and recorded 32 tackles, no interceptions, a fumble recovery and three pass defenses.
