Couplin, 23, signed on with the Lions as anย undrafted free agent out ofย William & Mary back in May. He was able to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later placed on waivers and signed to their taxi squad in October.
The Bills wound up claiming him off of waivers last month, but he lasted just a few days in Buffalo before he ultimately returned to the Lions’ practice squad.
This season, Couplin has appeared in eight games and recorded two tackles.
