James Palmer reports that the Eagles are signing free-agent S Will Parks to a one-year deal.
Earlier this week, John Clark of NBC Sports reported that the Eagles and Lions were among the teams showing interest in Parks.
Troy Renck also reported that Detroit was the “most aggressive” team in pursuit of Parks as of Tuesday of last week, meaning Philadelphia jumped ahead of them at some point during negotiations.
Parks, 25, is a former sixth-round pick by the Broncos in the 2016 NFL Draft. He finished his four-year rookie contract and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career.
In 2019, Parks appeared in 14 games and recorded 32 tackles, one sack, one interception, one forced fumble, and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 77 overall cornerback out of 113 qualifying players.
We had him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
