Eagles Sign Veteran OT Will Beatty, Waive OT Taylor Hart

Adam Schefter is reporting that the Eagles are signing veteran OT Will Beatty to a contract on Tuesday.

  • The Eagles have confirmed the signing of Beatty along with the release of OT Taylor Hart.

The Eagles have been in the market for offensive tackle help the past few weeks and Beatty was clearly among the best available options.

Beatty, 32, is a former second-round pick of the Giants back in 2009. He spent all six years of his career in New York before he was released in a move that freed up $4,175,000 in available cap space for the Giants.

Beatty’s 2015 season ended when tore his pectoral muscle while working in the weight room. The Giants later re-signed him to a one-year, $1.1 million contract at the start of last season.

In 2016, Beatty appeared in seven games for the Giants.
