Falcons Also Signing S Chris Cooper To Two-Year Deal

Vaughn McClure of ESPN reports that the Falcons also signing safety Chris Cooper to a two-year deal on Friday.

This comes shortly after the news that the Falcons have signed S Afolabi Laguda to a one-year contract.

Cooper, 25, wound up signing on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Stony Brook back in 2018. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 miilion contract with the Colts, but was waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and later reverted to their injured reserve list.

The Colts eventually cut Cooper loose and he had a brief stint on the Bengals’ practice squad before joining the Chiefs for the playoffs.

Cooper has yet to appear in an NFL game.
