Falcons Promote RB Jeremy Langford, Sign Two To P-Squad

The Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday that they’ve promoted RB Jeremy Langford to their active roster.

  • The Falcons also released WR Julian Williams from their practice squad and signed WR Christian Blake and OL Chris Durant to the unit.

Here’s the Bills updated practice squad:

  1. QB Kurt Benkert
  2. OT Daniel Brunskill
  3. TE Jaeden Graham
  4. TE Alex Gray (International)
  5. WR Devin Gray
  6. DT Jacob Tuioti-Mariner
  7. LB Jermaine Grace
  8. G Sean Harlow
  9. DB Taveze Calhoun
  10. WR Christian Blake
  11. OL Chris Durant

Langford, 26, was taken with the No. 106 overall pick in the fourth round of last year’s NFL draft by the Bears. He was in the second year of his four-year, $3.139 million rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $615,000 for the 2017 season when the Bears cut him loose coming out of the preseason.

The Ravens signed Langford to their practice squad soon and was on and off of the unit before eventually catching on with the Jets in December. New York brought Landford back on a futures deal this past January but cut him loose before the draft.

Langford signed on with the Dolphins back in August but was released coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Falcons’ practice squad.

In 2016, Langford appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and recorded 62 rushing attempts for 200 yards (3.2 YPC).
