Falcons Re-Sign QB Garrett Grayson To PS, Waive LB Jermaine Grace

The Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday that they’ve waived LB Jermaine Grace and re-signed QB Garrett Grayson to their practice squad.

  • Atlanta also released K Mike Meyer from their practice squad.

The Falcons’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. DB Marcelis Branch
  2. OT Daniel Brunskill
  3. WR Deante Burton
  4. TE Alex Gray (International)
  5. DE J.T. Jones
  6. TE Joshua Perkins (Injured)
  7. G Jamil Douglas
  8. QB Trevor Knight (Injured)
  9. WR Reggie Davis
  10. RB Brian Hill
  11. NT Joey Ivie
  12. NT Taniela Tupou
  13. QB Garrett Grayson

Grayson, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Saints back in 2015. He managed to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season but wound up being among the team’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

The Saints later signed him to their practice squad at the start of the regular season. New Orleans signed him to a futures deal back in January but decided to cut him loose as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players.

Grayson has been on and off of the Falcons’ practice squad this year.

In 2015, Grayson was active for one game for the Saints.
