Ian Rapoport reports that the Falcons are signing LB Stephone Anthony to a contract on Friday.
The Falcons have already announced the signing of Anthony and LB Richie Brown. Atlanta also waived Lanard Bonner and have placed DL Michael Bennett on injured reserve.
Anthony, 26, is a former first-round pick out of Clemson by the Saints in the 2015 NFL Draft. The Dolphins acquired him from the Saints in exchange for a fifth-round pick in 2017.
The Dolphins declined to pick up Anthony’s fifth-year option last year and he played out the final year of his four-year, $7.731 million rookie contract.
The Jaguars and Bills hosted him for visits this offseason but he left both teams without a contract.
In 2018, Anthony appeared in all 16 games for the Dolphins and recorded four tackles.
