Former Cardinals QB Ryan Lindley Signing With CFL’s Ottawa Redblacks

Former Cardinals QB Ryan Lindley announced Thursday that he’s signing a contract with the Ottawa Redblacks of the CFL.

Lindley, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2012. He spent two years in Arizona before he was released and later caught on with the Chargers. Lindley actually returned to the Cardinals for the 2014 season.

The Patriots signed later signed Lindley to a one-year deal as a free agent during the preseason, but cut him loose at the start of the 2015 season. He eventually caught on with the Colts late December only to be cut loose after a few months.

In 2015, Lindley appeared in one game for the Colts and threw for 58 yards while completing 60 percent of his passes to go along with a touchdown and no interceptions.
