Mebane, 35, is a former third-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2007. After nine years in Seattle, Mebane signed a three-year, $13.5 million contract that included $5.5 million guaranteed with the Chargers in 2016.
The Chargers elected to re-sign Mebane last year to a three-year, $13.5 million contract. However, he was released this past March.
For his career, Mebane appeared in 182 games for the Seahawks and Chargers over the course of 13 seasons. He recorded 467 tackles, 18.5 sacks, an interception, three forced fumbles, three recoveries and 10 passes defended.
